History

IMPERIAL Toyota is a subsidiary of IMPERIAL Holdings, one of the largest listed groups in South Africa.

Over the years, the IMPERIAL Group diversified it's business activities to include truck hire and car rental. In 1989, with its three main operations, namely motors, car rental and truck hire entrenched in their market segments, IMPERIAL listed on the JSE. In the same year, a new Toyota dealership and headquarters for IMPERIAL Toyota was erected in Commissioner Street in Johannesburg.

IMPERIAL Trucks is part of this IMPERIAL Toyota group of companies and we specialise in the sales, service and parts supply on the complete range of Hino commercial vehicles. Hino is a Toyota group company.
